Grammy Museum Mississippi
Following the lead of our parent institution, GRAMMY Museum L.A. LIVE, in response to concerns over the spread of COVID-19, GRAMMY Museum Mississippi will be closing through March 31, 2020. This closure includes all public programs, on-site education programs and guided tours. The health and well-being of our visitors, members and staff are of critical importance to us, and we feel this is a time to be proactive in our efforts to help prevent the spread of this virus.
As a cultural institution that depends on visitors and area programming for our survival, we look forward to bringing our GRAMMY Museum community together when we can safely proceed with our normal operations and performances. Please take good care of yourselves and your health. We will remain in close contact with you regarding any other necessary programming changes or updates as we have them.
In response to the confirmation of Coronavirus in Mississippi, the Senate Rules Committee today voted to suspend the page program and floor presentations. Any additional decisions related to employees or visitors will be made next week.
Those who are sick or experiencing flu-like symptoms, however, should consider staying home from work, with permission of their supervisor, or scheduling their visit for another time.
“Ensuring the public has access to their Capitol is important to us. We are balancing protecting this right with the responsibility of ensuring everyone working in or visiting the Capitol is safe and healthy,” Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann said. “We will continue to follow guidance from the State Health Officer to achieve these goals as we assess the Coronavirus situation in the State.”
