Thomas E. Edwards Sr. High School standout Jacorriah Bracey was named the Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year for Mississippi Friday.
Bracey, an Ole Miss signees, has been an outstanding shooting guard and point guard for the Lady Tigers. She’s had a remarkable senior year by averaging 35 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals per game.
In her career at TEESHS, Bracey has racked up 4,256 points with a game-high of 53 points in against Humphreys County in an 80-61 win in Ruleville on Jan. 25, 2019.
Bracey will try to add one more major accomplishment to her resume Saturday as the Lady Tigers will play Sentaobia in the 3A State Girls Basketball Championship game at The Pavilion at Ole Miss in Oxford.
