Services for Yvonne Kirksey Myers were held Sunday, December 1, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville. Burial was in Lehrton Cemetery.
Mrs. Myers, 73, passed on Thursday, November 28, 2019, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson.
She was born on October 29, 1946, in Indianola to the late Johnny Kirksey and Callie Frances Burchfield, was raised in Indianola in the Marie Community, and lived in Ruleville.
She is preceded in death by her husband of seventeen years, Ernest Boyd ”Sonny” Myers; sisters, Barbara Wheeler and Elizabeth Metzger; and brothers, Charlie Kirksey and John Kirksey.
Yvonne attended the Cleveland Church of God. She was very active, energetic, and loved traveling and watching her two favorite sports, baseball and football. She was a wonderful mother and a very faithful lady of God who enjoyed gospel music and being with family and friends.
She is survived by her four sons, Michael Myers of Ruleville, Kenny (Misha) Myers of Rome City, IN, Ronnie Paul (Amanda) Myers of Jonesboro, AR, and Jamie (Audrey) Myers of Harrisburg, AR; brothers, Verland Boots Kirksey of Indianola, George Kirksey of Indianola, Billy (Jewel) Kirksey of Brandon, Johnny (Marsha) Kirksey of Gretna, LA, Clarence (Niece) Kirksey of Indianola, and David Kirksey of Bay St. Louis; sisters, Francis Roncolli of Brandon and her twin Yvette Correro of Greenville; and grandchildren, Hannah Myers of Brandon, Haley Myers of Boise, ID, Landon Myers of Rome City, IN, Brittany Myers of Brookland, AR, Jamie Allyson Myers and Logan Myers of Harrisburg, AR, Ben Roberson of Jonesboro, AR, and Trey Roberson, Sierra Roberson, and Taylor Roberson, all of Indianola.
Visitation was Sunday, December 1, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Greg Chamblee officiated the services.
Pallbearers were Brian Harris, Mitch Harris, Johnathan Harris, Gregg Bills, Paul Pannell, and Ronny Henley III.
Honorary pallbearers were Troy Haney and Ronny Henley Jr.
The family gathered after the graveside service at the Pharm Restaurant in downtown Ruleville.
