Thomas E. Edwards Sr. High School standout Jacorriah Bracey will take her talents to the Southeastern Conference next season as she signed to play basketball at Ole Miss Wednesday.
“This is very big,” Bracey said about signing to Ole Miss. “It’s a dream come true.”
Bracey was pleased about going on making the decision as she is working hard to help lead Thomas E. Edwards Sr. High School one time.
“It’s big for us because I know we have a long way to go this year,” Bracey said. “It’s a long road to state. This happening right now is big for us because I can focus on the future with the team.”
The senior has earned The Bolivar Commercial Player of the Year the past two years and was named to The Clarion Ledger Dandy Dozer Team for the second year in a row.
Thomas E. Edwards, Sr. High School, which was Ruleville Central High School last year, was preseason ranked No. 1 in the Mississippi Gridiron poll before the season started.
“We’re number right now in the state in 3A, but winning state is what we’re trying to do right now,” Bracey said.
