The Exchange Club of Cleveland is involved in several areas of service, one of which is Americanism. Focusing on that particular concept, our club is preparing to undertake the largest project in our club’s history. We are going to begin a promotion of patriotism with the erection of 130 foot flag pole in Cleveland with a 30 foot by 60 foot American flag will fly. Our plans are for this project to be the first of several with which we will promote the idea of Americanism in our community and also honor the men and women who have proudly served our country. We are very excited to begin planning for this project, and we intend to make “Raise the Flag” a big event in the spring of 2019. Even though we are still several months out, we want everyone to be aware of what’s coming.
With this information in mind, we are asking the folks of Cleveland for your help. This first project will be very costly, the flag pole and flags which will fly on it are going to cost approximately $35,000, and we need help with the costs of construction. If this landmark project is one which you would like to support, the Cleveland Exchange Club would welcome it. Any donation will be much appreciated and no amount is too small. We pray that our community will rally around this event and that our city can demonstrate that patriotism is alive and well in Cleveland, Mississippi.
More details about his project will be released at a later date, and we look forward with great anticipation to serving our community in this way. We especially are excited to honor our veterans, who have sacrificed so much to protect the freedoms that we enjoy.
