“In as much as you have done it to the least of these, you have done it to me.”
The United Way of Cleveland-Bolivar County, has partnered with not only Helping Hands of Cleveland-Bolivar County, but with numerous organizations and agencies to render assistance and aide to not just the least but to all.
Their name says it all “United.” When we, the many members, join together as one, we can make a great impact in our community. That’s the United Way. Acknowledging the diversity and supporting the uniqueness that we share, in a manner that benefits us all. When we donate to or support the United Way, we are actually helping many organizations provide the vital services that are so essential to the well being of those around us who struggle sometimes to obtain some of the basic needs.
Helping Hands is a non-profit food pantry ministry that has been in existence since 1993 and currently is providing food items to over 1,000 individuals within Bolivar County each month. We depend upon the donations of agencies, organizations, churches and individuals in order to meet the needs of those we serve. With the help of people like Mack and Ollie Hoop, who have gone above and beyond in their care for us, and organizations like our local United Way, we are able to reach out to those who appreciate what little assistance we can provide.
We are grateful for the United Way’s commitment to helping us at Helping Hands of Cleveland/Bolivar County.
Helping Hands is located at 404 North Martin Luther King Drive, Cleveland, MS.
