The Mississippi Health Care Association announces that Chasity Kitchens of Shelby Health and Rehab has received the Second Place winner award in the category of Social Worker or Social Worker Designee in the 2017 MHCA Volunteer and Caregivers Awards.
Kitchens received the award at a recent MHCA Volunteer and Caregiver Awards luncheon held in Jackson featuring keynote speaker Marshall Ramsey.
“Congratulations to Chasity Kitchens from Shelby Health and Rehab for winning a Caregiver Award for 2017,” said Vanessa Henderson, Executive Director of MHCA. “It’s a great honor and tribute to her dedication to providing the highest quality of care and going the extra mile to make sure residents are given the best care possible.”
The MHCA Volunteer and Caregiver Awards is an annual event that recognizes and awards caregivers in various disciplines in long-term care facilities all across Mississippi.
The award winners are nominated by staff, residents or resident’s family members as a way to show special recognition to caregivers who go above and beyond their job descriptions to provide the highest-quality, compassionate care for our state’s most vulnerable adults.
The Mississippi Health Care Association was established in 1953. With more than 200 members, the organization is Mississippi’s oldest and largest association of nursing homes, personal care homes, and other longterm care facilities. For more information, go to: www.mshca.com.
