Gude Carver Jr.

Gude Carver, Jr., age 69, of Shaw, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11AM at Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS  38732.  Burial will be at the Shaw Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 from 6 p.m until 8 p.m. at Cleveland Funeral Home.
Gude was born on February 14, 1949 to Gude and Noble (Erwin) Carver in Cleveland, MS.  He was a graduate of Benoit High School. Gude was a lifelong farmer having spent his life devoted to his family and the farm. Gude was a simple man, who was a man of his word with a good heart. He loved to joke and enjoy life. He was a member of Ray Memorial Baptist Church. He loved to squirrel hunt and drive and hear his John Deere Tractor run! Gude will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gude and Noble Mae Carver, three sisters; Gladys Marie Beam, Ziller Louise Carver McDaniel and Minnie Jean Carver Fly.
Gude is survived by Daughter, Jennifer (Roger) Patel of Murphreesboro, TN; Sisters, Dovie Lynchard of Utica, KY, Juanita Litton of Merigold, MS, Inez McFarland of Woodstock, GA and Loretta Henderson of Madisonville, KY; One grandson, Christopher Patel of Murphreesboro, TN; Best friend Anthony Ferretti. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
Pallbearers will be Wes Kent, Elmer Leo McDaniel, Jr., Randy Morris, Rodney Mills, Rodney Moody and Kirk Satterfield. Honorary pallbearers are Myron D. Fly, Harvey "Mack" Grimmett, Travis Satterfield, Warren Satterfield and Anthony Ferretti.
