Two high schools for North Bolivar Consolidated

The question of where middle and high school students will attend classes in the North Bolivar Consolidated School District on Aug. 16 has been answered. John F. Kennedy Memorial High School, Broad Street High School and Shelby Middle School will all remain open.

Grant means more garden space for Bell students

Bell Academy teachers Amy Tarver and Kelsey Overstreet work with Bell students Gus and Ida Grey Moore-Adams to repaint benches at the elementary school on Thursday. The outdoor classroom and garden renovation was made possible in part through a grant from Farm to School and donations from local business.

Outdoor classrooms proposed for CCMS

Getting students engaged in lessons and classwork is one of the biggest challenges teachers face and oftentimes the solution is thinking outside the box. Tuesday the Cleveland School District Board of Trustees met to discus the budget for the upcoming year as well as current and future projects.

BMC parent company announces merger

LifePoint Health, Inc. and RCCH HealthCare Partners, which is owned by certain funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, LLC, announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement to merge. Bolivar Medical Center became a member of LifePoint community hospitals following a merger with Province Healthcare in 2005.
