Sherryl Cochran Estes, 67, of Germantown, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life Services will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home with Brother Ike Raley officiating.
Interment will be in Beulah Cemetery.

Lawrence Harris, 60, of Itta Bena

Lawrence Harris, 60, of Itta Bena died Sunday, February 4, 2018, at his home.
Funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, February 17, 2018, at St. Mary's Foundation M.B. Church in Itta Bena with Rev. John H. Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Henry Cemetery under the direction of W.S. Brandon Mortuary in Cleveland.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 11 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Survivors include son Kevin Stewart; mother Minnie Harris of Itta Bena; sisters Willie Mae Grayer, Linda Faye Milton, Donna Pogue, Janice Harris; brothers Walter Harris, Richard Harris, Willie Earl Harris, Shelley S. Harris Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Eugene Smith Jr., 60, of Indianola

Eugene Smith Jr., 60, of Indianola died January 23, 2018.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, at First United MB Church in Indianola with Rev. Clifford Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Memorial Gardens in Indianola.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. with family hour from 5-6 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018, at Byas Funeral Home in Indianola.
Survivors include wife Marilynn Smith of Indianola; daughters Lutisher Moore and Demetrice Brown, both of Houston, TX, and Latasha Washington of Saginaw, MI; sons Terrence Wilson of Indianola and Andre Wilson of Saginaw, MI; sisters Mary Long, Patricia Lockett and Clementine Smith, all of Inverness, and Sharon Stowers of Cleveland; brothers Guy Smith of Rosedale, Jimmy Smith of Indianola and Earl K. Smith and Arthur Smith, both of Grandville; 6 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Daniels - Moody Engage

Mr. and Mrs. Andy Daniels of Indianola announce the engagement of their daughter Elizabeth Hope Daniels of Memphis, TN, to Cade Pittman Moody of Paducah, KY, son of Dr. and Mrs. George Terrance Moody of Grenada.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Virden of Woodstock, GA, and Mrs. Vern Daniels of Cleveland and the late Mr. Daniels.
The bride-groom is the grandson of Mrs. Herbert Milton Hargett of Cleveland and the late Mr. Hargett and Mrs. George Washington Moody of Grenada and the late Mr. Moody.
Miss Daniels is a 2012 graduate of Indianola Academy and earned her bachelor’s of science Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Mississippi State University in 2015. She also earned a bachelor’s of science in nursing from Mississippi University for Women in 2017.
Miss Daniels currently works as a Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery, at Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital in Germantown, TN.
Mr. Moody is a 2012 graduate of Kirk Academy and earned his bachelor’s of science degree in Agriculture Engineering from Mississippi State University in 2016. He went on to earn his masters of Agribusiness Management from MSU in 2017.
Mr. Moody currently works as an Operations Management trainee at Pilgrim’s in Mayfield, KY.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 o’clock in the evening on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Indianola.

Bessie Lee Pleasant, 48, died December 28, 2017, at Panola Medical Center in Batesville.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018, a Lampton Street Church in Mound Bayou with Dr. Harvey Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Morning Star Cemetery in Gunnison.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Byas Funeral Home in Clevelnad.
Survivors include mother Barbara J. Tanner of Shelby; sons, Darryl Pleasant of Tupelo and Derrell Pleasant of Goodlettsville, TN; daughters Shaquita Pleasant of Goodlettsville, TN, Sherrell Pleasant and Sherese Alexander, both of Shelby; brothers Ollie Tanner of Anchorage, AK, Dennie Tanner of Tupelo, Kristy Tanner of Fort Worth, TX, David Tanner Jr. and Terrell Tanner, both of Shelby; sisters Nellie Pleasant of Clarksdale, Barbara A. Larry Davon Tyler III

Larry Davon Tyler III died Sunday, December 31, 2017.
Visitation will be from 11a.m.-noon Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Cleveland Central High School followed by the funeral service. Elder Eugene Prater will officiate the service and burial will be in Winstonville Cemetery under the direction of Woolf Funeral Home of Clarksdale.
He was born in Clarksdaale on September 24, 2000, to Amelia Wilson Tyler and Larry Tyler II.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Paris Martin, W.M. Tyler Jr., Laura Tyler, Evelyn Norman Lewis, Moses Isaac Lewis Sr., Mary Tremble Wilson and Webb Wilson Sr.
He is survived by his mother Amelia S. Wilson Tyler of Cleveland; his father Larry D. Tyler II of Fayette; grandparents Cremaya and Willis Wilson Sr. of Winstonville, Rosie Marie and Larry Tyler I of Fayette; great-grandmothers Georgia Lee Martin of Natchez and Cora Wilson of Winstonville; brothers Emmanuel C. Tyler of Cleveland, Jervon Shelvy of Tennessee and Carlos Bass of Cleveland; sisters LarRita Shelvy of Fayette and Amiracle L. Foster; three uncles; five aunts; and a mass of cousins, other relatives, friends, classmates, teammates, coaches and mentors.

Thomas Charles “Goose” “T.C.” Johnson

Thomas Charles “Goose” “T.C.” Johnson died December 31, 2017, at Cleveland Nursing & Rehab Center.
Services will be Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Old St. Phillip M.B. Church in Cleveland officiated by Reverend Leroy Carter III. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Gardens in Cleveland under the direction Brinson Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2018, 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was the fifth of seven children born July 17, 1943, in Duncan to the late Lensy and Flora Johnson.
T.C. began his education at Duncan Elementary. In July 1951, the family moved to Chicago and later moved to back to Mississippi. He confessed a hope in Christ at the Rose Hill M.B. Church in Boyle, pastored by Reverend Coleman . He attended East Side High School. He was employed at D&L and Kossman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Lensy Jr. and Oliver; and two daughters Tina and Tomesia, and son Thomas Jr.
T.C. is survived by four daughters Kathy Moore and Ronda Johnson, both of Cleveland, Tanja Moore of Detroit, MI, and Diana Thomas of Memphis; one brother J.W. Johnson of Chicago; three sisters Ann Booker of Chicago, Earleen Lawrence and Willie Mae Martin, both of Cleveland; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Nathalia Moncada, 9, of Cleveland

Nathalia Moncada, 9, of Cleveland passed away on December 27, 2017, at the UNIMED Heath System Hospital in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, while on Christmas vacation with her family.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland. A rosary will immediately follow beginning at 7 p.m.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland with Father Kent Bowlds officiating. Interment will be in Delta Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Nathalia was born as a triplet at Bolivar Medical Center on May 22, 2008, to Jose “Carmelo” and Dolores A. Moncada and resided in Cleveland with her parents and other three siblings. She was a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland. She was baptized as a baby in November 2008, and received her First Holy Communion in May 2016, along with her other two triplet siblings. Nathalia was a child of God who will always be in our hearts, and will be greatly remembered for her beautiful smile and contagious wicked laugh, her wild/funny sense of humor; she had a heart of gold with a gravitating personality that just attracted everyone. For her to be so little, she had her own unique fashion; always dancing- she had the ability to catch a beat to any sort of music. She loved ALL food (no matter the time of day). Most of all she will be remembered for the lovely way she could just be her own unique, special self. She will truly be TREMENDOUSLY missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Josephine Palacious Lindsey.
She is survived by her parents, Jose "Carmelo" Moncada and Dolores A. Moncada of Cleveland; sisters Gracie Nicole Moncada and Hazel Moncada of Cleveland; brother Ivan Moncada of Cleveland; paternal grandparents Balentin and Margarita Moncada of Merigold; maternal grandmother Lisa Lindsey of Cleveland; maternal grandfather Teofilo Torres of San Luis Potisi, Mexico; uncles and aunts Jacobo Moncada (Ana) of Cleveland, Betuel Moncada (Angelica) of Cleveland, Maria Margarita Manriquez (Gilberto) of Cleveland, Ernestina Barragán (Erick) of Greenwood, Monica Torres of Flowood, John Torres of Baton Rouge, LA, Stephanie Ricks of Flowood; and a host of little cousins and extended family friends.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Palacious, Jorge Garcia, Jose Moncada, and Roberto Rojas.
Honorary pallbearers will be Juan Moncada and Jose Rojas Jr.
In memory of Nathalia, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to AirEvac International to help others that may be stranded and need help finding a possible way out.
