Several injuries sustained in Friday wreck

The Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department, the Cleveland Police Department and Pafford Ambulance Services responded to a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Chrisman Avenue and Cross Street Friday.

According to Cleveland Fire Inspector Greg Jackson, "We had to remove one person with the jaws. We assisted the ambulance in transporting the remainder of assistance. We did have several injuries." Jackson said he is always pleased to see how well the first responders work together.

"Everyone responded very quickly and maintained a safe scene and were able to cut the lady out really quickly. We were able to triage each person involved. Pafford brought two ambulances in and did a really good job," he said.

"There's a lot that goes on there that people don’t realize, those guys process a lot of information in a short amount of time to make sure everyone involved gets taken care of. The fire department can't do what we do without the police department and we're blessed to have trained guys we can work with," said Jackson.

No other information was available as of presstime.
