Rimmer ready for third male conference Featured

Fly Zone’s CEO Kierre Rimmer is hosting his third annual Youth Male Conference on March 10.
Rimmer has opened registration on Fly Zone’s website and is encouraging every male in the Delta to register for the conference.
Rimmer’s keynote speaker for the event is Freeway Rick Ross, who will be hosted by International DJ Big V Of Leland.
“The goal of this conference is to enlighten, empower and encourage all attendees to be kings,” said Rimmer.
“We want our male youth to realize that they can rise above their surroundings and be kings.”
Rimmer’s first conference was titled “Birthing New Kings,” the second conference was “Coming of Age: After The Crowning” and this year’s conference is titled “King of Your Ring: Your Surrounding.”
Rimmer said he tries and keep the theme about kings each year.
Ross is known for establishing a drug empire in the 1980s which ultimately led him to a life sentence in prison.
Ross, who served 16 years in prison, has now become an author, motivational speaker and businessman.
Rimmer said, “We decided to use Mr. Ross because we all know the drug game is very prevalent in our communities and is leading to death and incarceration at high rates.
“Hopefully hearing Ross’ story changes the hearts and minds of all attendees.”
Rimmer said he has hopes that this year’s conference will inspire all males to go after their dreams.
“A lot of young males come from some tough environments and become products of that environment not knowing they can become kings of that environment.
“Rising above their environment is an option as well as sinking in it.”
Rimmer continued, “For some reason rising above hasn’t been a ‘real’ option so we want them to know that it’s possible.”
The conference is $10.
